The author struggles with his own fears and prejudices, but he endeavours to sensitively documents the relationship between body and mind, the importance of friendship - and the power of sport.
The Invictus Games are an international sporting event and create a space for inclusion and diversity. "Invictus" means "undefeated". The term also embodies the motivation of the participating women and men to gain a new place in life and not to be defined by a trauma they have suffered.
